Like many of my compatriots, I am deeply shocked and saddened by the horrible tragedy that claimed the lives of ten Kosova Albanians and injured dozens of others, some of them critically.
Let us all pray that the survivors recover fully and completely and that there no more loss of life.
Many of us in the diaspora return to our homeland every year with a lot of love and nostalgia. Unfortunately, this time of the year, with its high influx of visitors, brings also road accidents. It is important to drive carefully, respect traffic rules, and show patience and tolerance.
As Kosova mourns the lost lives of these poor souls, I hope the authorities will investigate properly the causes of today’s accident and will take the necessary steps to increase the safety of our people.
My heart goes out to the victims and their families, to whom I express my deepest condolences.
