By Louis Foundos
I am sad to notify all that Albert Foundos left this world yesterday. Al was not only my brother but also my best friend. We shared a special bond having the immigrant experience that many of us have experienced. My father came from a different culture and did not understand many of the issues growing up in America. Therefore, through my teen and college years, Al was my second father whom I always looked to for advice. We started our own businesses, but ultimately decided to try working together in Fluid Data which we both agreed would make our father proud! Many people would ask me how we were able to work together for over 20 years. We had our differences, but the secret ingredient was a mutual respect for each other’s skills and for each other as individuals. There is no doubt in my mind that the most important thing to Al was not his success in life but his family.
He was blessed to meet Joan and have three beautiful children and nine grandchildren. His family pictures at his Naples, FL home were all over the condo to remind him of what was really important. He was a man of faith who devoted many hours to the Church, St. Vladimir’s Seminary and IOCC. He was a giving individual admired by many and had a long and productive life. He is finally reunited with his wife of nearly 50 years, his beloved Joan.
MAY HIS MEMORY BE ETERNAL!
At the family’s request, donations to St. Nicholas Church may be made in lieu of flowers.
